We have run into a small issue when trying to make the new update for Fabricstash run smoothly on all platforms.  We really want all of the amazing new features to come off without a hitch. We promise the wait it will be worth it.

In that process we have also been discussing what other amazing features we can add to make our projects better. We have what we think will bring the Fabricstash app to the ultimate level in the works. So, keep checking back for more updates and news.

Well looks like more nights of coffee chugging and late night conference calls. Who needs normal hours?

Bluemoon is one our favorite apps to use personally around Blueshift. Helping Alex isn’t my only job and I have my own small business and side projects. When it comes to tracking all of the events and occurrences for those other areas of my life, Bluemoon rocks and now even more.

The updates added for the new release focus integration and ease of use. First, and most importantly, the events created in Bluemoon can now be put on your calendar and you can set up notifications for yourself! Second, there is the most requested new auto save feature that auto saves events once they have been created, which prevents data loss in case of app crashing or accidental shut-off.

Beyond those updates we did some minor bug fixes and other little things that weren’t causing the apps to run at the level which we want.

Ohhhhhh and if you want to try it out we have a FREE version. It is all the same, but just with ads. If you do like it, but hate the ads there is an option to purchase the upgrade within the app!

Enjoy

If you didn’t notice, we did some work on the website. Making these changes needed to happen. We feel a better looking site helps treat your eyes when you stop on by to check out the website and offer us your feedback and check out our apps.

With the new site you will also be seeing a lot more of the polls in the sidebar, like the one on the “fabricstash” page. Lately we have been getting a bunch of emails and I will be incorporating the suggestions into the polls. Along with the polls be on the lookout for new website features to make things even better around here.

We really hope the newer feel of the website and the features will make your experience with us better.

P.S We are so close to releasing the latest FabricStash update. Even if you don’t use that app, some of the awesome features that we are integrating there will soon be found in the other apps.

In the course of making our sewing and quilting iPhone apps better we are always making updates. The next one is exciting for us and it should be for you.

We understand that the data people put in on their fabric stash is important and at times lengthy. So, we did something that you might like. There is going to be in the next update backup feature. A lot of people have been asking for it and we finally did it. We have spent quite a bit of time testing it and making sure it is working correct and won’t falter.

The update also includes some minor bug fixes as well as some cosmetic updates and some other fun new features you will love. As always, if you want to see something, jump to the feature request page and let us know!

Look for the update in a few weeks.

Besides our awesome iPhone apps Fabricstash, PatternPal, and FabricJournal there are quite a few more apps that you might find interesting.

  • Easy Quilt- Great tips and tricks for the quiler. From their site, “Tools, Tips, Tricks and Resources all at your fingertips offering full coverage without the need for an Internet connection.A great resource for beginners and advanced crafters with full video instruction on each topic.”
  • Quilt Envi-  Awesome quilt inspiration. From their site, “A giant collection of cozy quilts, in your pocket! Quilt Envi brings lovely quilt photos straight from the worldwide web to your iPhone, along with in-depth information on patterns, designers and shows.”
  • Yardage Calc-  Calcuate all the unknown yardages of patterns. From their site,”Do you buy sewing patterns and fabric? Then you need Yardage Calc! Yardage Calc estimates the yardage needed when the width of the selected fabric is not listed on the pattern envelope.”

Also, some blogs have made great posts on sewing and quilting apps. They helped point me in the direction of some of the apps I highlighted.

Enjoy the links and other apps. I would also like to say thanks to those who have included our apps on their sites. Be aware though that we will be making a full list, as soon as possible, of everyone who has been kind enough to feature our apps. I just didn’t want anyone to feel left out since there have been some awesome people who have helped us out!

Thanks everyone and please share it if you find the article interesting.

New Feature Request Tab

In the course of running things we get a ton of app feature suggestions. We try our best to include them in the updates or at least review every one. In order to make the process a little more smooth for us, we ask  your requests using the form found on the new feature request page. It has fields for app and app idea, both of which are very important in us being able to properly filter your request.

The second part of getting your ideas in the app is being able to get the ideas in the hands of the community and let them choose what they see as important. Popularity of app suggestions will not be the final decision for choosing what features we put in, but it will be weighed heavily. You can see a little test poll in the left sidebar on the FabricStash app page.

Thanks again for being an awesome community that has provided us with some of the best ideas and features for our apps.
